Brandon Zebold’s first artistic passion was drawing. Zebold began hand cutting his drawings on steel with an oxy-acetylene torch. Years later a plasma cutter allowed him to make sculpture out of stainless steel and bronze. Zebold works in Corten and weathering steel as well as reclaimed and recycled materials.
Steel has offered Zebold an exciting range of shapes and surfaces to draw on. The drawings become sculpture and the sculptural forms inspire drawings. Zebold’s work can be found in public art and private developer locations throughout Washington, California and Oregon.
