Sherry Sander’s sculptures reveal an animal’s subtle behaviors. On her ranch near Glacier National Park in Montana she observes fox, whitetail deer, bear, mountain lions, coyotes, wild turkeys, eagles, and waterfowl, among others, that roam and inhabit the land.
Sander’s often incorporates the animals natural environment into her sculptural work, hoping to capture the animal’s interplay with nature and habitat. Her work can be found at the Buffalo Bill Museum, Cody, Wyoming; Benson Park Sculpture Garden, Loveland, Colorado; Denver Zoo; High Desert Museum; National Museum of Wildlife Art, Jackson Hole, Wyoming and the Oklahoma City Zoo.
