Joe Halko had a keen eye for portraying an animal’s gesture and personality in sculpture. Halko spent his lifetime loving the outdoors with constant access to the wilderness and wildlife that served as his inspiration. Halko’s ability to create beautifully designed and anatomically correct birds and animals was his strength and passion.
Halko’s mule deer buck, doe and fawn in Bend, as well as numerous geese, horses and grizzly bears can be found throughout Montana and the Southwest.
